Descendants of the Sun is a 16 hours long Korean drama aired in 2016. Staring Soong Joong-ki and Song Hye kyo
as the lead. You will love the show, it has a bunch of things that make

The drama is about Dr. Kang Mo Yeon and Captain Yoon Si Jin who meet in a hospital where Mo Yeon is busy treating a boy who is actually a thief and is hunted down by Yoon Si Jin and Seo Dae Young. Si Jin
and Mo Yeon fall in love and decide to date. But he keeps being called
away for secret missions and they are unable to meet often, they decide
to break up.
Many months later, Kang Mo Yeon and her team were sent to Uruk for a volunteering mission by Heasung hospital. There she meets Yoo Si Jin again. Another love line to look at is the one between army doctor Yoom Myeong Joo and Major Sergeant Seo Dae Young.
What makes Descendants of the Sun this special?
Good Looking Cast - Of course, this was the main attraction for me to watch the drama.
Engaging storytelling - As
the drama begins, we think it's just a romantic drama as usual, but as
the story progresses we can see the commitment to work, patriotism,
friendship. The drama takes us through different emotions. And also, the
love between the doctor and a soldier is also interesting.
Well-defined character and "Second Lead Romance" - All characters in the drama were well defined and also, they have done justice to their role by portraying it nicely. Not only the lead role, supporting actors also has done a great job. The interesting thing is we can't see cliched triangle love and it's
a plus point for the drama. The second lead romance was really
interesting and their fight for love also was really nice to watch.
Heart Warming Music - How can
I describe Descendants of the Sun without OST's? The music has given a
great contribution to the drama. The melodious OST's and Soong Joong-ki and Song Hye kyo in the screen it was really picture-perfect. I loved Everytime by Chen and Punch. The other OST’s are also really good to hear and this combo on screen makes it more lovable. Romance - The romance between Yoo Si Jin and Kang Mo Yeon was truly mind-blowing. The second leads Seo Dae Yeong and Yoon Myung Ju
was also having a great love story to tell. They also were fighting for
their love. The chemistry between the supporting cast Ha Ja-ae and Sang
- Hyun was really cute and fun to watch.
Brownie Points - The
genuine and engaging storyline, remarkable characters, various
emotions. Though the plot is so serious, it never showed it so. By adding a little bit of fun, they made it engaging. Not only the lead characters
but the supporting actors also did a great job. Throughout the episodes, it was really entertaining and engaging.
